He was named the best young player in Argentina’s Superliga for the 2018-19 season.
The attacking midfielder is now swapping Argentina for Brazil with a move to Jorge Sampaoli’s Atletico-MG.
Atletico have paid $6m (€5.1m) for 50% of Zaracho’s pass, meaning Racing will receive half of his next transfer fee.
Zaracho has spent his entire career at Racing until this point, making 91 appearances for La Academia.
His impressive form led to a first call-up for Argentina last year and he made his international debut against Morocco.
He was then summoned for Argentina’s fixtures against Chile and Mexico, but did not feature.
