Fulham ditch €15m deal for Marlon after failed medical

Fulham have called off a €15m deal for Sassuolo defender Marlon after he failed a medical.

David Ornstein of The Athletic reveals that talks were at a very advanced stage for the talented Brazilian to join Fulham.

However, 25-year-old Marlon did not pass medical tests with the London club and his move has collapsed.

Fulham boss Scott Parker and co-owner Tony Khan both want a new centre-back in before the transfer window closes.

The Cottagers have conceded seven goals in their first two matches of the Premier League season.

Gleison Bremer (Torino), Juan Foyth (Tottenham) and Craig Dawson (Watford) are believed to be options for the Fulham backline.
