Monaco sign Benfica midfielder Florentino Luis on loan

Monaco have completed the signing of Benfica midfielder Florentino Luis on a season-long loan.

The agreement does not include an option to buy Florentino, 21, a product of the famous Benfica academy.

Benfica received approaches from Fulham and AC Milan for Florentino before accepting Monaco’s proposal.

An athletic holding midfielder, Florentino follows Kevin Volland, Axel Disasi, Caio Henrique and Anthony Musaba to Monaco.

Florentino has made 32 first-team appearances for Benfica and represented Portugal at every youth level.
