El Shaarawy, 27, left Italy for China last summer, swapping Roma for Shanghai Shenhua.
A year after his €16m move, the 25-time Italy international is pushing for a return to Europe.
A number of clubs have shown interest, including his former side Roma and PSG – and now Juventus.
El Shaarawy, who had reservations about moving to China at such a young age, admitted in May that he almost returned to Roma in January.
Even with Edin Dzeko arriving, Juve are still in the market for a fourth striker.
A return for Moise Kean from Everton remains on the agenda, but El Shaarawy is another candidate.
For now, it is unclear what level of interest the Old Lady have in El Shaarawy.
