Jhon Cordoba completes €15m move to Hertha BSC

Hertha BSC have signed Colombian striker Jhon Cordoba from FC Cologne on a four-year deal.

Cordoba, 27, has cost Hertha in the region of €15m, less than his full value due to his contract being in its final year.

In return, Hertha midfielder Ondrej Duda will go to Cologne in an €8.5m deal.

Cordoba will wear the number 15 shirt at Hertha and leaves Effzeh after three seasons.

Last season, Cordoba scored 12 goals in 26 Bundesliga appearances, including two against his new club Hertha in February.

“I’m very happy to be able to play for Hertha BSC from now on,” said the attacker in his first interview.

“I’m convinced of the potential of the club and would like to bring my qualities here as soon as possible!”
