Trabzonspor had the option to buy Sorloth for €6m, which they appear to have used.
Leipzig want Sorloth and his goalscoring ability after losing Timo Werner to Chelsea earlier in the summer.
Despite recent reports that he might be too costly at ‘over €20m’, it has not deterred Leipzig from making an offer.
Sorloth joined Crystal Palace from FC Midtjylland in January 2018 but struggled for goals and was loaned to Gent a year later.
But it was with Trabzonspor that he showed his best form, scoring 33 goals in 44 appearances last season.
