Leeds United have thrown their name in the hat for Sporting CP midfielder Joao Palhinha.
According to both A BOLA and O JOGO, Leeds are the latest club to probe Sporting about Palhinha’s situation.
A €12m move to CSKA Moscow was reportedly set to happen last month, but was in fact turned down.
Another Premier League club, Wolves, have also been heavily interested in the 25-year-old.
Sporting coach Ruben Amorim does not see anyone in his squad with the same features as Palhinha.
But if an offer of €15m reaches Sporting, the Lisbon club plan to sell Palhinha, who spent the last two seasons on loan at Braga.
Leeds have already invested around €70m in the off-season to sign Rodrigo Moreno, Robin Koch and Helder Costa.
Marcelo Bielsa still hopes to add more players to his squad, with Udinese star Rodrigo de Paul a target.
Palhinha could also arrive at Elland Road if sporting director Victor Orta follows up on his enquiry with an offer.
