Rico, 27, has mainly served as a back-up goalkeeper for Keylor Navas at Parc des Princes.
However, when Navas was injured in the Champions League quarter-final against Atalanta, Rico replaced him.
Rico retained his spot for the semi-final against RB Leipzig, keeping a clean sheet in PSG’s 3-0 win.
His quality and reliability have led to the Parisians signing him on a permanent four-year deal.
He is the ninth Spanish player in PSG’s history and first goalkeeper from Spain.
Earlier today, Sevilla announced Rico’s replacement by signing Yassine ‘Bono’ Bounou from Girona after a good loan spell.
Bono’s excellent performances were key in Sevilla winning their sixth Europa League trophy last season.
