Bayer Leverkusen to sign Roma’s Patrik Schick for €27m

Bayer Leverkusen have agreed a €27m fee with Roma for Czech striker Patrik Schick, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

On the day that Kevin Volland’s move from Bayer to Monaco was all but confirmed, the Bundesliga club have secured Schick.

Schick, 24, enjoyed a good spell on loan at RB Leipzig last season, but they were unable to finance a permanent deal.

With money from Volland and Kai Havertz about to enter their coffers, Leverkusen have no such problem.

Bayer will pay a fee of €27m with Roma to receive a percentage of any future transfer.

Everton and Newcastle also had a look at Schick, but no offer arrived from England for him.
