Everton have agreed a deal worth up to €28m for Napoli and Brazil midfielder Allan.
Following extensive talks, the two clubs finally reached an understanding on Saturday.
Gianluca Di Marzio and Alfredo Pedulla both report that the Toffees will pay an initial €25m plus a further €3m (Di Marzio) or €5m (Pedulla) in future bonuses.
It will end Allan’s five year stay at Napoli and reunite him with former coach Carlo Ancelotti at Everton.
Everton beat competition from Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid for the 29-year-old central midfielder.
Allan will be in England either tomorrow or, at the latest, on Monday for his medical and contract signing.
He should soon be followed by Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez who is also close to joining Everton.
