Benfica agree terms with Real Madrid for Mariano Diaz

Benfica have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for striker Mariano Diaz, according to Record.

After talks to sign Edinson Cavani broke down, Jorge Jesus has been analysing other options for the Benfica attack.

And 27-year-old Diaz, who made only seven appearances for Madrid last season, has become one of the main targets.

The two clubs have an agreement, most likely for a loan deal, but the player must now be convinced.

Benfica will now discuss terms with Diaz, who returned to Madrid in 2018 following an 18-goal season at Lyon.
