34-year-old Kolarov wants one last ‘winning adventure’ and has decided to accept an offer from Inter.
The two clubs must now sit at the table and negotiate a fee for the veteran left-back, formerly of Manchester City.
Inter coach Antonio Conte is an admirer of Kolarov and was interested in taking him to Nerazzurri last year.
Kolarov would give Conte tactical options as he can play as a left wing-back or on the left of a back three.
Conte’s main target has been Emerson Palmieri, but Inter have been put off by Chelsea’s demands for €25m.
Since moving from Man City to Roma in 2017, the Serbian international has made 132 appearances, clocking up 20 assists.
Kolarov’s Roma deal ends next year and the chance to join a ‘winning project’ at Inter is behind his decision.
