Bayer Leverkusen are in advanced talks to sign AS Roma striker Patrik Schick, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
Schick, 24, enjoyed a successful season in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig, but they could not afford to buy him.
Die Roten Bullen tried and failed to secure a second loan deal for Czech international Schick.
With Kai Havertz heading to Chelsea in a €100m deal, Leverkusen have enough in their coffers to buy Schick.
And negotiations are reportedly at a ‘very advanced stage’ for the €20m-rated marksman.
Schick scored 10 goals for Leipzig last season after struggling to fit in at Roma following a club-record transfer from Sampdoria in 2017.
