18-year-old Bialek shot to fame quickly at Zaglebie by scoring nine goals in 19 games in his first season.
Bialek is a 6’3″ tall centre-forward who is already winning comparisons to countryman Robert Lewandowski.
And Wolfsburg have beaten fellow Bundesliga clubs by signing Bialek on a four-year contract.
VfL have paid €5m for the Poland under-19 international and Zaglebie have a 10% sell-on clause.
Speaking upon his signing, Wolfsburg’s new number 21 couldn’t hide his excitement.
“I’m really looking forward to the challenge of continuing my journey in one of the strongest leagues in the world,” he said.
Wolfsburg sporting director Marcel Schäfer believes Bialek will fit in well at the Volkswagen Arena.
Schäfer said: “We’re very pleased to have signed a very talented player in Bartosz, who at a young age has already produced very good performances in the Polish top flight.
“He’s young and fits our philosophy perfectly. We’re convinced he can take the next step in his development with us and will help us achieve our objectives in the coming years.”
