Galatasaray land Omar Elabdellaoui on a three-year deal

Galatasaray have signed Norwegian international right-back Omar Elabdellaoui on a three-year deal.

Elabdellaoui, 28, left Olympiacos when his contract expired after six seasons with the Greek giants.

And he will continue his career in Turkey at Galatasaray after they signed him on a free transfer.

Elabdellaoui rose through the Manchester City youth system before joining Eintracht Braunschweig in Germany.

From there he moved to Olympiacos in a €400,000 deal where he won the Greek title four times.

He briefly played in the Premier League on loan at Hull City for half a season in 2017 before returning to Olympiacos.

A return to England has been rumoured in recent months, while Real Betis were also offered Elabdellaoui.

Elabdellaoui won 44 caps for Norway and will bring plenty of experience to Galatasaray.
