Seko Fofana to join Lens from Udinese for €10m

Seko Fofana will get his wish by joining newly-promoted Ligue 1 side RC Lens from Udinese in a €10m-plus deal.

The 25-year-old midfielder called time on his four-year stay at Udinese recently, revealing that he wants to join Lens.

And as both L’Equipe and Gianluca Di Marzio report, the two clubs have quickly reached an agreement for Fofana.

Lens will pay in the region of €10m for the Paris-born Ivory Coast international, but bonuses could take the fee to €15m.

Fofana is due to undergo a medical in the next 24 hours ahead of his contract signing.

Lens had a list of four players – including two from La Liga and one from the Netherlands – and Fofana was at the top of it.

The former Manchester City talent will leave Udinese after making 119 appearances.
