Since arriving in Spain from Man City, Ünal has scored 20 goals in 109 official games.
Getafe coach Jose Bordalas has decided to stick with the club and Ünal is his first gift of the summer.
Ünal is a strategic signing with Bordalas wanting to lower the age of his veteran-heavy squad.
