RB Leipzig & Gladbach contact Inter for Valentino Lazaro

Valentino Lazaro is returning to Inter after his loan spell at Newcastle – but won’t be around for long.

Lazaro, 24, moved to Newcastle on loan in January and was used sparingly, often as a substitute.

He could soon return to Germany, with Alfredo Pedulla reporting on interest from RB Leipzig and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Both clubs have asked for information, with Gladbach expected to make an offer in the coming days.

Inter signed right-sided midfielder Lazaro from Hertha BSC a year ago for a reported fee of €22m.

But after some unconvincing performances and just six league appearances, he was sent to Newcastle.

Antonio Conte has no plans for Lazaro and he will be allowed to leave the San Siro this summer.
