RB Leipzig have failed in an attempt to sign Patrik Schick on a second loan deal from Roma, according to BILD.
Schick, 24, wanted to remain with Die Roten Bullen after a successful year on loan, but no agreement was found.
Leipzig had a €29m option to buy Schick at the conclusion of his loan spell, but they let it expire.
Instead, the Bundesliga side tried to negotiate a new loan and purchase option, which did not interest Roma.
Roma need money this summer and want to sell Schick, a club-record signing from Sampdoria in 2017.
And the Giallorossi are not short on interest for Czech international Schick after his ten goals and three assists for Leipzig.
England or Germany for Schick?
Several Premier League teams have asked about the striker, with Roma hoping for a €25m transfer fee.
Schick could also have options to stay Germany. Hertha have been considering a move, while Bayer Leverkusen are also interested.
Any move from Leverkusen will depend on Kai Havertz leaving, with a move to Chelsea appearing likely.
