The 36-year-old returned to his boyhood side in January 2018 and struck nine goals last season.
The pandemic had cast doubts over his future at Boca though, with former club Corinthians linked with a move.
However, ‘El Apache’ finally decided to stay at the famous La Bombonera.
Tevez starred for West Ham, Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus during his nine years in Europe.
He initially returned to Boca in 2015, but left after a year for an unhappy spell in China with Shanghai Shenhua.
A year later, he was back at Boca where he may now finish his career.
