Liverpool are considering a move for highly-rated Olympiacos left-back Kostas Tsimikas, the Telegraph reports.
Jurgen Klopp wants a backup for Andy Robertson and his number one target is Jamal Lewis of Norwich.
However, the relegated Canaries rejected Liverpool’s opening bid of £10m (€11m) for Lewis.
Talks continue as Liverpool hope to strike a deal for Lewis, 22, but Tsimikas is another option.
24-year-old Tsimikas was in advanced talks to join Nice two months ago, but the French club had €10m and €12m bids rejected by Olympiacos.
Leicester City are also believed to be considering the talented Tsimikas in case Ben Chilwell leaves this summer.
Tsimikas has made 86 appearances for Olympiacos, providing 12 assists for the Greek champions.
