Porto’s ‘new Ronaldo’ Fabio Silva could leave for €40m

FC Porto could let super-talent Fabio Silva leave for €40m this summer, A BOLA reports.

18-year-old Silva, son of former Boavista league-winner Jorge Silva, is one of Porto’s greatest talents.

The forward has been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo and is rated so highly at Porto they put a €125m release clause in his last contract.

However, the Coronavirus and its effects on the global economy means Silva could leave for less than his true value.

Europe’s richest clubs are unwilling to spend €125m for Silva, so Porto have set a €40m starting point for talks.

Silva is not certain to leave the newly-crowned Portuguese champions, but Porto are prepared just in case.

The Portugal under-19 international made 21 appearances for Porto this season, often as a substitute.
