Official: Markus Suttner rejoins Austria Vienna

Markus Suttner has completed an emotional return to Austria Vienna after leaving Fortuna Dusseldorf.

After five years in England and Germany, including a spell with Brighton, Suttner is back in the Austrian Budnesliga.

Suttner has signed a two-year deal and could end his career at the Generali Arena.

The 33-year-old left-back departed Fortuna after they were relegated from Germany’s Bundesliga.

And as Transfer Nexus exclusively reported in July, it was a battle between Wolfsberger and Austria Vienna for Suttner.

Suttner went with his heart, returning to Austria Vienna where he played from 2001 until 2015.
