Rogerio, 22, is becoming a regular for Roberto De Zerbi’s team after injury problems in the first half of the 2019-20 season.
His performances since the Serie A restart have caught the eye and Newcastle are said to ‘really like’ the player.
Newcastle originally sent feelers in May, but are stepping up their interest for Rogerio with the Premier League season over.
Sassuolo signed Rogerio from Brazilian side Internacional and after a year he moved to Juventus’ academy.
Juventus sold him back to Sassuolo after two years on loan and he is beginning to fulfill his potential.
