The former Arsenal wonderkid, who also starred for England at youth level, has spent two seasons in Greece.
But now he is heading to Turkey’s Super Lig with Istanbul giants Besiktas, it is reported.
Akpom, 24, scored 10 goals in all competitions for PAOK this season.
When he left Arsenal for PAOK, it was reported that the Gunners included a sell-on clause so should receive some of the fee.
Just weeks ago, Akpom was heavily linked with Besiktas’ rivals Fenerbahce.
Belgian clubs Anderlecht and Genk have also been interested.
