Porto want to sell Shoya Nakajima after Corona drama

FC Porto are looking to sell Japan winger Shoya Nakajima after he refused to train amid Coronavirus fears.

Nakajima, 25, joined Porto last year with the Portuguese club paying €11.65m to Al-Duhail for 50% of his rights.

And though he trained on May 4, Nakajima refused to attend the next session, claiming he needed to take care of his wife and child.

The argument did not go over well with Porto players, since everyone has a family and concerns about the pandemic.

Porto’s players trusted the health measures applied by the club and united around the goal of becoming league champions.

Nakajima now finds himself frozen out by Porto and according to A BOLA, coach Sergio Conceicao will not accept him back next season.

Porto will try to find a way to recover the enormous financial effort they made to sign Nakajima.

The former FC Tokyo star made 16 Liga NOS appearances for Porto and has been capped 19 times by Japan.
