Palmeiras will receive a considerable loan fee of €7m for the Brazil international.
In a year’s time, Al-Duhail will have the option to buy Dudu for a further €6m with Palmeiras retaining a 20 per cent sell-on clause.
Dudu, 28, has been with Palmeiras since 2015 when he joined from Gremio. Before then he spent several years in Europe with Dynamo Kyiv.
The right-wided winger has been capped three times by Brazil, twice in 2011 and most recently in 2017.
In 188 appearances for Palmeiras, Dudu has scored 45 goals and delivered 65 assists.
