The 21-year-old has had a sensational debut year for Almeria after joining from Penarol last summer.
Nunez’s talents have not gone unnoticed, with Napoli reportedly ‘very interested’ in signing the youngster.
He has been compared to compatriot Edinson Cavani, who became an icon for Napoli between 2011 and 2013.
Nunez would gladly stay at Almeria if they are promoted, knowing that he would be a starter in Spain’s top division.
Despite this, it will be tough for Almeria to keep hold of one of the revelations of La Liga 2.
Nunez won his first Uruguay cap last October, scoring against Peru on his debut.
