Man United snatch Alvaro Fernandez from Real Madrid

Manchester United have signed young Real Madrid left-back Alvaro Fernandez Carreras, according to AS.

The 17-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with the English side after running down his Madrid contract.

Fernandez will play in United’s second team to start but will have a chance to appear for the seniors when they have problems in his position.

Madrid beat Barcelona to the signing of Fernandez three years ago, bringing him in from Deportivo La Coruña

They wanted the attacking full-back to renew his contract, but United convinced him with their sporting project.
