United and Liverpool’s interest in the 15-year-old centre-back has been reported on in recent weeks.
And the Red Devils have followed up with an official bid of under €1m that Sochaux are ready to refuse.

The Ligue 2 club do not want to discuss a sale unless an offer of €2m is made.
Kambwala, a French under-16 international, is open to joining United but does not want to go against his club.
United could make a new bid in the coming weeks, but Kambwala will stay if Sochaux’s demands are not met.
Other clubs, such as the aforementioned Liverpool, could also arrive with offers to rival United.
The Congo-born teen has two years left on his contract and if they manage to keep him, Sochaux will offer him a professional deal.
