Rashica is almost certain to leave Werder this summer if any club submits a suitable offer.
And if he does leave, Nigerian youngster Paul Mukairu is a name being seriously considered by Die Werderaner.
Mukairu, 20, does not yet pose the same goal threat as Rashica but has major potential.
Capable of playing behind the striker or on either wing, Mukairu is fast, a good dribbler and can shoot.
According to FT, Werder may try to sign Mukairu on loan with an option to buy from Antalyaspor.
However, the Bundesliga side are not alone in their interest, with Feyenoord, KRC Genk and Club Brugge also sending out feelers.
RB Leipzig and PSV Eindhoven have also been scouting Mukairu, who arrived in Turkey from Nigeria’s FC Hearts academy last year.
Mukairu has made 23 appearances for Antalyaspor in this season’s Turkish Süper Lig, scoring three and assisting one goal.
