Fernando, 21, has under six months left on his contract and has an agreement with Botafogo leave before then.
He will have several options with at least half a dozen clubs contacting his representatives recently.
One of them is Lille, who signed the player on loan in 2018 and used him in their second team.
The Ligue 1 side did not use their €3m option to buy Fernando, but indicated that they could return for him.
Also interested in Fernando are Portuguese giants FC Porto, who would initially place him in their B team.
At least two Premier League clubs have been in touch with his camp this year to explore potential deals.
One of them may have been Chelsea, whose manager Frank Lampard is represented by the same group as Fernando.
And finally, a Bundesliga side has also shown an interest in taking Fernando to Germany.
A decision soon
Fernando linked up with the English-based YMU Group in June which will help him with his move to Europe.
Transfer Nexus has been told by a source close to the player that he is looking for a three-year contract from his next club.
The full-back’s destination could be decided in the next few weeks after the offers are reviewed.
Fernando holds an Italian passport which means he will not take up a non-EU spot in Europe.
