BILD: Kai Havertz asks Bayer Leverkusen to sell him

Kai Havertz has asked Bayer Leverkusen to sell him this summer and two clubs want him, BILD reports.

Havertz, 21, is one of the most coveted players in Europe but Chelsea and Real Madrid are the clubs actively pursuing him.

And Frank Lampard’s Chelsea are in pole position as they are willing to meet Leverkusen’s €100m valuation.

The Premier League club would look to structure the deal by breaking it up into installments.

The other club is Real Madrid, with Zinedine Zidane an admirer of the talented Germany international.

However, unless Madrid sell a number of players they won’t be able to afford Havertz this summer.

The attacking midfielder has made it clear though – he wants to leave Bayer Leverkusen and move to a European giant.
