The Ligue 1 side have made a firm offer of €25m in recent days for the free-scoring Canadian.
Lille have a four-man shortlist of attackers which includes David and Fluminense talent Marcos Paulo.
According to HLN in Belgium, Gent are looking for €30-35m to sell the 20-year-old.
L’Equipe claims David is ‘seduced’ by the prospect of joining Lille, a club with a good history of developing players.
And Mohamed Bouhasfi of RMC Sport goes one step further, saying David has an agreement with LOSC.
