Barcelona’s Jean-Clair Todibo tops Benfica defensive list

Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo is the top priority for Benfica this summer, according to Record.

Benfica have been followed the 20-year-old since January when he went to Schalke on loan.

The Germans did not use their €25m option to buy Todibo and the player is now on the market.

Premier League duo Everton and Wolves are interested, while Fenerbahce have also asked for information.

And Benfica are admirers of the French centre-back, having been impressed by him at the 2019 U-20 World Cup.

The Portuguese side had wanted Freiburg defender Robin Koch but there is intense competition for him.

Ruben Semedo is also under consideration in case Ruben Dias leaves the club.
