Gregor Kobel set to join Hertha from Hoffenheim for €5m

Hertha Berlin are close to signing Swiss goalkeeper Gregor Kobel from TSG Hoffenheim, according to Sky Sport.

22-year-old Kobel spent the season on loan at VfB Stuttgart and helped them win promotion back to the Bundesliga.

And after a breakthrough season, he looks to be on his way to Hertha with talks ‘in the home straight’.

The former Grasshopper shot-stopper has a release clause of around €5m at Hoffenheim.

Kobel will compete with Norway number one Rune Jarstei upon his arrival in Berlin.
