Tottenham Hotspur have turned down the chance to swap Tanguy Ndombele with Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey, the Telegraph reports.
Ndombele, 23, reportedly had a falling out with Spurs boss Jose Mourinho recently.
However, when Juventus expressed an interest in Ndombele they were told that he is still in Spurs’ plans for next season.
Mourinho insists that Ndombele can turn things around at Tottenham, having struggled since his €60m (£54m) move from Lyon.
The hypothetical swap would have seen Ramsey, 29, return to England just a year after leaving Spurs’ rivals Arsenal.
Ramsey joined Juventus on a free transfer but the Serie A club are already willing to let him go.
The Welsh international has only started in nine of his 18 Serie A appearances for Juve.
Despite already signing Arthur from Barcelona in a swap deal for Miralem Pjanic, Juventus are still scouring the market for reinforcements.
