The 18-year-old’s contract at Segunda División club Rayo Vallecano ends today, making him a free agent.
And he has reportedly agreed a four-year deal with Madrid, who will place him in their Juvenil A (under-19) team.
De Luis is considered one of the most promising goalkeepers in Spanish football.
At Vallecano, he is regarded the ‘pearl’ of the academy and trains daily with the first team.
Real Madrid have been following De Luis’ progress closely this season, as he has shot up the ranks at Rayo.
He made six appearances for Rayo B in Spain’s third tier despite being just 17-years-old when he was called up.
Villarreal also wanted to sign the young shot-stopper, but Los Blancos were able to tempt him to Madrid.
De Luis will say goodbye to his teammates at Rayo today before joining Real Madrid’s La Fábrica.
At Madrid, he will work under the tutelage of club legend Raúl and is likely to feature in the UEFA Youth League.
