Barcelona announced the sale of Cucurella, 21, who has spent the season on loan at Getafe.
The Catalans have earned €10m from the sale and will receive 10 per cent of any future transfer fee.
Getafe’s original option to buy Cucurella was for €6m with Barcelona having a 40 per cent sell-on clause.
However, Barca have decided to collect an extra €4m in cash and reduce their sell-on clause.
The Spanish under-21 international joined Barcelona in 2012, rising through the ranks at La Masia.
His first and only appearance for the Barca first team came in 2017 as a late substitute against Murcia.
In the 2019-20 season, Cucurella has made 38 appearances for Getafe, registering five assists and scoring one goal.
