Juventus striker Stephy Mavididi set for €5m move to Montpellier

Montpellier are set to clinch the signing of English striker Stephy Mavididi from JuventusL’Equipe reports.

The 22-year-old has spent the season on loan in Ligue 1 with Dijon, scoring eight goals in all competitions.

And after weeks of advanced negotiations, Montpellier are about to sign Mavididi on a permanent deal.

Juventus will receive a fee of around €5m from Montpellier for Mavididi.

Mavididi joined Juventus in 2018 after quitting Arsenal following eight years at the club.

Although mainly signed for the reserve team at first, he did make one senior appearance for Juve, against SPAL in April 2019.

That appearance made him the first English player since David Platt in 1992 to play for Juventus.
