Benevento to sign Loic Remy ahead of Serie A return

Benevento have reached an agreement to sign French forward Loic Remy with his Lille contract coming to an end.

With just one defeat all season, Benevento have stormed back into Serie A after being relegated in 2018.

And they have begun their recruitment for next season by clinching 33-year-old Remy.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Remy will sign a three-year deal if he passes a medical in the next hours.

Remy, a proven goal scorer across Europe, will join Benevento on a free transfer.

The former Chelsea striker scored 14 goals in 30 appearances for Lille this season.

He has won 30 caps at international level for France with a return of seven goals.
