Benevento are not resting on their laurels after securing promotion back to Serie A following a two-year absence.
Earlier today, it was reported that Loic Remy is on his way to Benevento – and he has now arrived in Italy.
But the ambitious Campania club are working on another double blow in the transfer market, Gianluca Di Marzio reveals.
Former Torino defender Kamil Glik, 32, has reached an agreement with Benevento for a Serie A return.
However, Benevento must now find an understanding with his club, Monaco, who he joined in 2016.
Glik made 166 appearances for Torino before his €11m move to Ligue 1 and would offer Filippo Inzaghi’s side a wealth of experience.
Benevento are also tempting World Cup winner Andre Schurrle who is on the books of Borussia Dortmund.
Schurrle, still only 29, has spent the season on loan at Spartak Moscow and is not in Dortmund’s plans.
