23-year-old Awaziem has spent the season on loan at Leganes, where he has made 22 La Liga appearances.
And Besiktas coach Sergen Yalcin has made an express request for the Turkish giants to sign Awaziem.
Besiktas have already made their first approach to Awaziem’s representatives to discuss whether he would want the move.
It would see Awaziem return to Turkey’s Süper Lig after spending the second half of last season on loan at Rizespor.
Before sending him to Leganes, Porto extended Awaziem’s contract until 2022, meaning he would command a transfer fee.
Porto’s extensive scouting network discovered Awaziem playing in Nigeria for El-Kanemi Warriors.
In 2014, he joined the Portuguese side’s youth setup before moving up to their B team.
In February 2019 during an injury crisis, Awaziem was given a first-team debut against Porto’s arch-rivals Benfica.
Since then, he gained experience on loan at Nantes, Rizespor and Leganes.
Awaziem has also become a regular for the Nigerian national team, winning 12 caps and playing at last year’s African Cup of Nations.
