TMW: Juventus looking at Locatelli to replace Rabiot

Juventus hope to sell French midfielder Adrien Rabiot this summer and have identified a replacement in Serie A, Tuttomercatoweb reports.

Rabiot, 25, has suitors in England and there have been informal contacts with Everton.

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti promoted Rabiot to the PSG first team when he was in charge and still admires him.

Other English clubs could yet enter the running for Rabiot, who only joined Juventus last year.

TMW goes on to state that Juventus could shop in Italy for a midfielder to replace Rabiot.

22-year-old Manuel Locatelli has had an excellent season for Sassuolo and is now a concrete target for Juve.

Locatelli was previously on the books at AC Milan before he was sold to Sassuolo for around €12m after a loan spell.

The Bianconeri are pressing to sign Locatelli and talks could speed up over the next few weeks.

Juventus and Sassuolo have a good working relationship which should help negotiations go smoothly.
