But according to RMC Sport, Aouchiche has informed sporting director Leonardo that he will not sign a new contract.
His first choice had been to remain in Paris, making it a very difficult decision. Until the very end, his camp waiting for concrete plan for his future at the club.
But Aouchiche told Leonardo and his deputy Angelo Castellazzi that he would be leaving.
The France under-18 international simply felt he would not get enough opportunities to play next season.
PSG would likely have placed him in their under-19 squad for a third successive season, but Aouchiche wanted a spot in Thomas Tuchel’s first-team squad.
Aouchiche has yet to decide his next club, but will choose one where he is guaranteed instant first-team action.
16-year-old Gloire Bunga Capitao is also on his way out of Paris, joining Freiburg in Germany.
Bunga Capitao captained PSG’s under-16 team this season, but turned down a new deal.
