It has been widely expected, but it is now official that veterans Thiago Silva and Edinson Cavani will leave PSG this summer.
Both players are out of contract on June 30 and the Parisians have decided not to extend them.
Leonardo, the club’s sporting director, confirmed the reports on Saturday.
“Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva will leave PSG at the end of the season, it’s confirmed,” he said.
Silva, 35, has been linked with a move back to AC Milan, while former coach Carlo Ancelotti would like him at Everton.
33-year-old Cavani is a serious target for Inter but they have hit a stumbling block over the player’s wages.
Cavani would favour a move to La Liga with Atletico Madrid known admirers after trying to sign him in January.
The PSG clear-out is not expected to end there, with full-backs Thomas Meunier and Layvin Kurzawa both out of contract.
Eric Choupo-Moting is also leaving the French capital this summer after two seasons.
