But Italian side Napoli are very serious about the 20-year-old winger, who they see as a replacement for Jose Callejon.
According to the report, Napoli have asked Valencia how much a hypothetical final transfer fee would cost them.
The Serie A outfit want a right winger with Callejon out of contract and have earmarked Torres for the position.
Money won’t be a problem for Napoli, who have the financial muscle to offer Valencia an acceptable fee.
The Partenopei can also satisfy Torres with a big contract offer, superior to the last one Valencia made four months ago.
Valencia are still trying to convince Torres to sign a new contract, with his existing one ending next June.
However, with the list of clubs wanting the Spain under-21 starlet growing, a departure from the Mestalla is looking increasingly likely.
Torres has made 34 appearances for Valencia this season with a return of six goals and six assists.
