It is reported by Gazzetta dello Sport that Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is asking for €40m from Everton for the midfielder.
Everton want to pay less and are counting on Carlo Ancelotti’s excellent relationship with De Laurentiis to get a reduction.
Last year, De Laurentiis priced Allan out of a move to PSG by demanding €80m for him.
With the 29-year-old losing some prominence under Rino Gattuso, his valuation has been halved.
De Laurentiis is expected to review Ancelotti’s request for a discount and a €30m offer could convince the president to sell.
For Napoli, it would not make sense to keep a player who has been unsettled for a year-and-a-half now.
