Danijel Subasic leaves AS Monaco after eight years

Former Croatia goalkeeper Danijel Subasic has announced that he will leave Monaco when his contract expires this month.

The 35-year-old joined the principality club from Hajduk Split in 2012 and established himself as one of France’s best keepers.

The Monaco legend took to Instagram to announce his departure, thanking fans and listing the trophies he has won.

He wrote: “Almost 300 games played, it’s time to say goodbye and thank you for all the support from fans and all club employees who have been there for me since day one. Time flies, love remains.”

Subasic is being courted by teams a number of teams, including sides from Greece and Saudi Arabia.
