17-year-old Fati, a graduate of La Masia, has broken into the Barcelona first team – and broken records in the process.
Barca are open-minded about sales and require €69m by the end of June to balance the books.
However, Spain under-21 starlet Fati is viewed as untouchable, much like Ter Stegen, De Jong and Messi.
According to SPORT, the €100m offer for Fati was brought up by Josep Maria Bartomeu during a virtual meeting on Thursday.
Bartomeu said a ‘major club’ was willing to put ‘more than €100m on the table to sign Ansu Fati’.
Seeing the faces of his colleagues, Bartomeu quickly added, very bluntly: “Ansu Fati is not for sale. No more talk.”
Barca had expected €124m from transfers and have brought in a good chunk of that through loan fees and sales.
Barcelona’s need to sell could see them do something unexpected, like accept a bid for veteran Sergio Busquets or a big prospect such as Riqui Puig.
However, any talk of Ansu Fati leaving Camp Nou is non-negotiable. The teenage super-talen will remain at Barca.
